This past year has been difficult for many of us in so many ways. Even though restrictions are lifting and things have started to open a bit, we realize that many people are still in need of an extra hand up. That is why we have decided to bring some much needed cheer to locals by running our Big Mother’s Day Drive 2021.

Our Big Mother’s Day Drive 2021 will offer locals in the outer easter suburbs of Melbourne* fresh gourmet cooked meals and hampers, either delivered or picked up to bring some extra cheer and love.

*Area includes the Dandenong Ranges, Knox and nearby areas, see our map on the nomination form for full list of suburbs delivered to.

These special mothers day meals and hamper packs are not just available for mothers but for anyone in the outer eastern area this mothers day.

To receive a Mothers day meal and special hamper pack for yourself and your family, or to nominate someone else for one, then please click the button above to go to our registration form.

Meals will be delivered freshly cooked, by our team of dedicated volunteers on Saturday morning May 8, the day before Mothers Day. They can then be reheated and served for a special Mother's Day feast.

We also offer a pick up service for those who cannot be home to receive our meals

Our team of chefs have put together a great menu that includes:

• Roast Lamb, with seasonal vegetables and cheesy scalloped potatoes (Gluten Free) 
• Roast Lamb, with seasonal vegetables (Gluten Free/Dairy Free/contains nuts)
• Salmon Cauliflower Risotto with beetroot (Dairy free/Gluten Free/contains nuts)
• North African Chickpea Tagine  (Vegan/Dairy free/Gluten Free/contains nuts)

And for dessert:

• Chocolate coated ice cream on a stick
• Vegan dairy free chocolate coated ice cream on a stick (dairy free/vegan)

Meal recipients will also receive a special care package that will include some great luxury pamper products from our friends at Pinchapoo as well as some other treats to make the day special.

Over the past 12 months Foothills Community Care and Community Casseroles have provided more than 32,000 meals to community members in need of an extra hand up in the Dandenong Ranges and Knox area. 

Through their various meals programs, they aim to support people as they address issues such as family and domestic violence, addictions, homelessness, food insecurities, poverty, mental health issues, and social isolation.

Operating for 19 years in our local community, Foothills have seen the demand on their services skyrocket sharply since March last year. They have adjusted their services to meet this demand so that no one goes without a meal and much needed care and support.

They are inviting you to partner with them as they continue to raise funds needed to sustain and expand their services, so they can continue to offer practical support to the most vulnerable at this time and beyond

Red Coral Seafood a leading 40 year family-run seafood wholesaler and retailer.

Red Coral Seafood, has partnered with Foothills over the past 12 months including in our Mother’s and Father’s Day meals last year. Red Coral, which supplies supermarkets and restaurants across the state as well as a retail shop in Bayswater, is a long-standing supporter of Victorian fishermen and women. 

Tass Marinopoulos, General Manager of Red Coral Seafood, said the family-run business has wanted a chance to give back to their community. “We have wanted to work together with a local charity and do something for the special mums, grandmothers, daughters and everyone in our community during these tough times.”

Pinchapoo
Pinchapoo is a not-for-profit that distributes rescued toiletries and personal hygiene products to those in need, and have provided our luxury pamper packs for the day.

Confoil
A local based food packaging company that have been supporting us for many years now. They have provided all the food packaging containers for the meals.

My Goodness Organic
A local food business that uses the best freshly sourced organic ingredients to produce healthy, delicious meals. They have kindly produced our Salmon Cauliflower Risotto and North African Chickpea Tagine

Knox City Council
Our good friends at Knox have provided a grant to enable us to help produce our delicious meals in these difficult times.
